The first concert for our new album “Relations” and the last day for Bongartz Musik in allen Formaten. A sad occasion, not only for music lovers in Erlangen but also for us. Peter Bongartz and his team were the first to include our debut album “Open Space” in their program in 2008, following a recommendation from Hans Maron, who was then head of Soulfood Distribution. Their enthusiasm for our music took us beyond the city limits of Munich for the first time, and since then we have been able to play live in the store several times to promote our new releases.
On top of the lump in my throat, I also had to contend with a nasty throat infection. Thanks to a powerful regimen of antibiotics, cortisone, Revoice, and Fisherman’s Friends, I managed to get through the concert reasonably well. The new songs in our repertoire may not have been particularly well-rehearsed, but the enthusiastic Erlangen audience didn’t let that show and bought our first big batch of albums from the merch stand. Das erste Konzert zu unserem neuen Album „Relations“ und der letzte Tag für Bongartz Musik in allen Formaten. Ein trauriger Anlass, nicht nur für Erlanger Musikliebhaber sondern auch für uns. Peter Bongartz und sein Team waren die ersten die 2008 unser Debut-Album „Open Space“, nach Empfehlung vom damaligen Soulfood-Vertrieb Hans Maron, in ihr Programm nahmen. Ihre Begeisterung für unsere Musik trug uns das erste Mal über die Münchner Stadtgrenze hinaus und wir konnten seither mehrmals zu unseren Neuerscheinungen live im Laden spielen.
Zum Kloss in meinem Hals hatte ich zudem mit einem fiesen Hals-Infekt zu kämpfen. Dank einer Gewaltkur aus Antibiotika, Kortison, Revoice und Fisherman’s Friends kam ich einigermassen treffsicher durch das Konzert. Die neuen Songs im Repertoire waren vielleicht noch nicht besonders routiniert, doch das freudige Erlanger Publikum lies sich das nicht anmerken und kaufte uns den ersten großen Schwung Alben aus dem Merch.
